Studies on the Low Grade Tuberculin Sensitivity

Abstract
An extensive study on tuberculin test had been #,brit th6*h6it benmaik, India., and Egypt $y br. tilward and ¢¥Palmer in 1051.
Since the study, the new term the high grade tuberculin sefishlivity ¢¥arid the lo* grade tuberculin sensitivity have come to be commonly called and disputea in many countries other than korea.
Thereafter it was known that so-called the low grade tuberculin sensitivity seemed to be caused partly by the hypersensitivity developed by the infection of ¢¥unclassified mycobacteria.
Author intented to study the incidence rate and one part of cause and origin of such weak reaction in Korea.
The results were as follows:
1. The incidence rate of the weak reaction so- called the low grade tuberculin sensitivity to the SMAII dose tuberculin was noted to be definitely different to¢¥the tuberculin given. In general, the high incidence was observed in the group of low tuberculin potency.
2. The positive rates to the unclassified mycobacteria among reactors to the various degrees of tuberculin potency was relatively high among negative cases to the low tuberculin potency (OT 1;10,¢¥000, PPDRT 23 2TU 9 Tween 80) and also the positive rates was high among the weak reactors to the intermediate tuberculin potency (7r,OT i; 2, 000. P.,P!)RT 23 1 TU E Tween 80), and the relatively high rate was seen among the strong reactors to the high tuberculin potency (OT 1;1, 000).
3. If the low grade sensitivity were thought to be originated from the infection of -other acid-fast bacilli than mycobacterium tuberculosis as other cross reactions, the potency seemed to equivalent to 5 T.U.
